More Pictures ala Chase...and a few other things...

These 2 pictures just make me laugh....he loves to take my camera and take pictures of his nose. He got a hold of my camera this particular time and took 92 pictures of the ceiling, floor, up close shots like this, my mom and dad's bed, the fan, X's knee and stomach, the tv, and computer. It is interesting to see what he takes pictures of.
Me and my little monster. I am sure you and wondering what is all over his face. Well, it is my lip gloss I had JUST bought...he gets into everything! What a monster!
And just a quick funny story...yesterday, Chase, X, and I were all sitting together on the couch. Chase started rubbing X's legs and says, "Daddy, I wike yous feathers." (talking about his leg hair...haha.)

1 Activity down and I'm not sure how many more to go...

Okay so I am sure most of you have seen my mom's blog, but I am going to bore you and tell you all about our ward activity on Saturday. As you know, X and I are the Activities Committee Chairmen in our ward. I was so excited for this calling because I LOVE to do things like this, but I must say I am so relieved it is over. Now I just have to plan another one for April...
Our theme was "Birthday Bash", the idea was to celebrate everyone's birthday. It was pretty successful from what I could tell. We had a potluck casserole dinner with salad and rolls provided by the church and then we also had 12 birthday cakes...one for each month. We ate and then the kids got to play Pin the Nose on the Clown and hit the pinatas. After the games we sang Happy Birthday to everyone and had birthday cake. We, luckily, had some awesome people stay and help clean up! (Thanks to all you guys!)
We covered the tables with butcher paper so that kids were able to color on it. As people brought their casseroles in they set them on the serving table and wrote what it was with crayons on the table.

All in all I think it turned out pretty good. We had a lot of people show up (thank goodness!) and a few inactive members come too!

In these following pictures Chase had a blast being drug behing Papa as he vacuumed. What a mess!

He was laughing so hard as Papa pulled him along and would have to use his little feet to help scoot him along.

The World through Chase's Eyes

Okay, so for Christmas X and I debated for a while as to whether or not we should buy Chase the little Fisher Price digital camera. Well, we finally decided that that idea was probably not the best, because they are like $60.00 and we figured he probably wouldn't care too much for it. Well, now I wish that that was the ONE thing we would have gotten him for Christmas because he is constantly trying to steal my camera to take pictures and it drives me CRAZY!! He loads it up with pointless (fuzzy) pictures...but the last few times he has actually taken a few decent pictures so here they are...enjoy!

This first one is my all time favorite that he has taken himself...you gotta love the ketchup caked around his mouth along with the nice glob of drool about to drip out of his mouth, and the angle he got it make his lips look 20 times more huge!

When Chase takes pictures of people he comes up to you and says "SAY CHEEEESEEE!!" You have to position yourself just right to actually make it in the picture. His nose...what a great picture...this is how most of them usually end up. =)And yes, he added the artwork to the table...with a sharpie...

Today when he grabbed my camera he told me that it was his "pabowet". What a mess!

Catch Up!

Wow! What a week, I have been too lazy to blog lately, so sorry! But, I am back, so be very excited!!

We'll start with Valentine's Day---X actually had to go out of town Thursday thru Sunday for a Bait and Tackle Show in Oklahoma City. Crocs had a kiosk there and he had to help. So, my Valentine's came a day early. On Wednesday I was at work sitting up in the teacher's lounge when I saw our car pull up. I text X and asked him if he was up at the school and he replied and said no...then, I saw the car move and then I knew that he was there...shortly after, a lady in the lounge saw X walking up to the school with some flowers, and said, "Oooh! Someone is getting flowers!!!" Shortly after, I got called to the office to pick something up and there was a dozen beautiful red roses with a note that said, "I love you more than you could ever imagine. Love-X" It made my day. Then, that afternoon after I got off of work I got a Vera Bradley wallet and it is way too cute and then that evening after X got off of work he gave me a ring box. I opened it up and inside was my promise ring from him in the tenth grade. He dug it out and got it redipped and resized. It was too sweet.

On Saturday I went to Oklahoma City to spend the evening and next day with X. Mom, Abby, Chase and I drove out there, unfortunately the weather was pretty rainy and yucky so there wasn't too much we could do, but we did actually drive by the Oklahoma bombing memorial...I snapped a few picture of the things hanging out on the fence. We then later went to where X was working and I tell you what...it was redneck central! Lisha, I bet Nate would have enjoyed it! We actually got to meet a pro fisher that was sponsered by Crocs and we got his signature and what not. His name is Mike Del Visco...he has his own show and stuff...does Nate know of him? All in all, we had a good time in Oklahoma City at the show, but I was ready to be at hoem with my little man...I was gone from him for 24 hours and I missed him so so much!
The night before we headed out to OK City, Chase thought it would be fun to do this...
This is laundry detergent...a huge, sticky, gooey, good smelling mess.

This is him helping clean it up, and all in all making a bigger mess. Lovely.

And don't you just love this sweet face of a boy who knows he did a no no? When I came and saw the mess Chase simply replied..."Mommy, dis be so fun for me." Gotta love him.

Today, Chase had an accident in his pants, and excuse me for being so blunt but, he took a nice poop in his pants. I took him into the bathroom and dropped the terd in the toilet and Chase replied, "Wook mommy, it fwoats! GWOSS!!!" Haha...I just had to laugh!

Later, Chase came up to me telling me that he needed a "fopsicle", and I just looked at him and he promptly said, while rubbing his belly, "It be bewy good for my belly" with a nice big grin...what a goober!

Okay, last story for this post...a year ago for Christmas (2006) Nana (X's mom) got Chase a V-Smile baby. It is one of those little cheesy game systems that you hook up to the TV. And it has buttons that are shapes to push with little games to play. Chase wasn't so much into it at first, but now lately he has totally been into it...he calls it his "x-box wike Sammy." Last night he played on it for a good while...

And, notice the marker...as you all know X has a few tattoos and Chase is fascinated by them, so he often colors pictures on himself so that he can have tattoos like daddy...that is what this is. He told me "Mommy, dis be so good for me. I wike my tattoos." MAN OH MAN!

Oh and one last thing...last night Chase and I were laying in bed together and it was dead silent when all of the sudden Chase said, "Mommy, I wike you so much." It was so sweet because you could tell that he was so sincere. It, of course, melted my heart!

I always wonder...

I always wonder what things go through kids heads. They can come up with the funniest and wittiest things to say sometimes.

Yesterday we were going to Wal-Mart to get some grocery items. As were were walking into the store Chase goes "I not want to get in the cart mommy...that not be good for me." I just had to laugh. Chase HATES to get in the cart at the store, it takes almost everything we have to bribe him to sit down, because if we let him loose we don't get any shopping done...we are just busy pulling Chase out of the clothes racks and what not. He is so funny and comes up with the best things to say.

As we go throughout the day, Chase often points out when he sees the letter "X, like Daddy!" Some different things he has pointed out as X's are: where the grout crosses on the tile floor in the kitchen, on our back door the wood makes an x, and where the parking spot lines cross. What a smart boy! One day he had a roll of toilet paper and he ran it all around the downstairs making "X's like daddy". He rolled the downstairs, but sure enough, on the floor in a few spots he had the toilet paper making x's. Today, at church X took Chase to the bathroom and Chase grabbed the toilet paper off of the counter and said, "I want to make an X daddy!" X said, "No Chase, not right now. We are at church." Chase then said, "But Nuna said yes." He thinks he is so sneaky. He will often try and get something or do something and try and trick you into it by saying "But Daddy's not here" or "But Mommy said yes!" What a monster he is!

And in case you didn't know...Chase is now 4...becasuse he said so...

Coolest Jumpers on the Block!

Today was just too beautiful to pass up, so we invited some friends over to take advantage of the weather and our tramp! Lacey, Jack, and Nolan came to play...unfortunately Lacey and Riley couldn't make it, but hopefully they will get to next time! FEEL BETTER LACE! It was 75 degrees outside today! Can you believe that?! It was so beautiful, there was a nice breeze and the sun was shining. It's crazy how fast the weather can change...4 days ago we had snow and tomorrow it will be back into the 30's! Jack and Chase had so much fun together on the trampoline and watching TV. They wrestled, raced, threw balls at eachother, and just had a good ol' time! You just gotta love Jack's pouty face in the bottom right corner! It gets me everytime!
Coolio goin for the slam dunk!
Goin...goin...
He makes it!
I always wanted to be a cheerleader...

Probably the coolest jumping moms around!

Goin for a flip...Accomplished!

And of course, cute little Nolan!

I just had to post this...

Right now, one of Chase's favorite movies is Curious George. I love to watch him while he watches it, because he gets so involved and just giggles up a storm. I took a short video of him watching Curious George just because he is so cute. =) He seriously does that EVERY time he watches the movie.

The Flu

It has been a long time since I have posted. This past week at school, a lot of our students and teachers were absent due to the flu. Well, on Tuesday me and the two other ladies who do what I do were talking about the flu, and of course, I had to brag and say that I had never had the flu. Well, sure enough, I wake up Wednesday morning and I feel okay, my chest was just a little tight. I went to work and throughout the day I started to feel a little bit worse. It hurt so bad to breathe deep and to cough, but I just figured I had a sinus infection. I kept telling myself that I caouldn't get sick, because X and I don't have health insurance!
After I got off of work, Mom, X, Chase, and I met Lacey McMurry and Lacey Carney at the mall to let the boys play at the playground in the mall. I was okay while we were there, but definitely not feeling 100 percent. After letting them play for a few hours, we left to head home and I was saying good bye to X, because he had to stay and work, and I turned my head towards him, which was too far for me, and It just shot a pain through my neck and chest and I started crying. We got home and I took a nap and woke up and felt HORRIBLE! The worst I have ever felt. I was freezing cold, because I had a high temperature. I could hardly breath and I was just so weak. Over the next few days I didn't get to feeling any better at all. In fact, the 3rd day I was sick was probably the worst. I totally didn't have an appetite and so far I have lost 10 pounds! Today, I woke up feeling okay...a lot better than what I was feeling. I still have a disgusting cough and I am pretty weak still, but my fever is gone and I can tell I am on my way to getting better! Wahoo!! I just hope that Chase doesn't get sick, because if he does, it will probably land us in the hospital with him being so young and asthmatic.

And, thanks goodness for my wonderful mom and husband! They both took wonderful care of me and Chase, because I was so helpless.
