Sad sad day....

So a few months ago Chase's pediatrician recomended we go see an allergist. Chase has had horrible allergies and asthma from the day he was born and it has been no fun. We FINALLY got an appointment with the allergist, but it was during my work day and I was out of leave, so mom took him. She said it was a horrible appointment. They had to draw so much blood and before that they couldn't even get a vein. So after trying to get blood from both arms and a few pricks, Chase had had it. He was very sensitive the rest of the day. He made it very clear to me after I got home from work to keep his bandages on and that he has "blood in my arm". He was so funny about it. Well today, Mom recives a phone call from his allergist informing us that Chase is allergic to MILK, EGGS, and BANANAS! A very common breakfast for him that he loves! We haven't ever noticed any rashes or any problems when he eats these things...in fact this is exactly what he had for breakfast today! I take him in on Tuesday to figure this all out, but how can you live without milk and eggs? EVERYTHING has milk and eggs in it! Bananas would be doable, but Chase loves them!

The results are in...

Last Tuesday I FINALLY got to go to the doctor. We did all the usual things and the doctor felt/"measured" my uterus and said that I was either pregnant with twins and right on schedule with my due date OR that I was farther along than we had thought, but that the ultrasound would confirm which of the two it would be. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a machine for ultrasounds in his office so I had to schedule my ultrasound for a different day...I was lucky and got in the very next day! The nurse couldn't actually say whether the baby was healthy and all that good news, but from what I saw on the ultrasound the spine looked good and strong, I saw both hands and feet and a sweet little face. It all looked good to me! The nurse didn't seem to act like there was anything wrong, but I will find out for sure when I go back on June 16! Of course, there were no twins! (THANK GOODNESS!) and the baby's measurments were on schedule with my due date being October 17....I guess I just have a big uterus...We also found out that baby BOY #2 is on his way! I was bound and determined that we were having a girl, I just KNEW it! But the ultrasound proved me wrong plain and clear! This little one, like Chase, had no shame and made it no problem to see what we were having! The nurse did confirm that we are for sure having a little boy! We are really excited and now we are just trying to decide on names...I asked Chase what he wantes to name his baby brother and he insists that we name him "Iron Man" =) How do you like that for a name? X and I did have Davis Scott picked out, but he has changed his mind about it. He is absolutely hooked on the name Cruize (not sure how I feel about it...what do you guys think?) We also like Roman...but it has been claimed, Jaxon is another that we like, so we aren't 100% sure of a name yet.

Chase was in the room with us during the ultrasound and was pretty good, all though he got a little bored because the pictures weren't obvious to him...but I think it helped make it a little more real and he will talk about the baby more! I will try and get my ultrasound pictures on here.

I have this HUGE fear of being cursed with all boys just like Chase...I honestly think I would go loco...one Chase is great but 4 or 5...I don't think I could handle it! =)

Anyway, we are excited to have baby boy number two on the way! I am disappointed in all the votes I got...5 for boy and 14 for girl, you guys REALLY got my hopes up! =) We are blessed either way, though!

Our Visit to Utah!

The weekend before Chase's birthday, we had the opportunity to fly out to Utah for Carly's graduation and a little family time! =) Mom and Lexi left on Wednesday afternoon and ended up getting to Utah Thursday morning. Chase and I left Thursday morning and arrived there later that afternoon...surprisingly, we had the easiest and best flights ever! I was literally sick to my stomach to fly alone with Chase, because for one, I had never done it by myself and then on top of that I had Chase...a little booger who LOVES to run away and thinks it's actually quite hilarious after I start freaking out and chasing after him. But, again, surprisingly, he was amazing! (for him!) He listened (for the most part) stayed by me as we walked around and was really quite pleasant on the flights...the worst thing he did was when we were in the bathroom and he climbed out from underneath the stall while I was sitting on the potty! I started to freak out because what am I supposed to do when I am in the middle of business? Luckily he was just outside the stall laughing. Little stinker! On our first flight, there was twin boys around Chase's age who were HORRIBLE! Not only was it those two, but there was a little brother to add to the chaos! They screamed and were just pills on the plane and while we waited....then, when we were getting off the plane there was a huge cheetoh, cracker, and chips mess all over where they sat! At the end of the flight we got TONS of compliments on how pleasant Chase was...(I just thought my child?!) He was calm and quiet and amazing...it really made me feel good, since you all know how loud and crazy Chase can be!Portable DVDplayers are the best!I think I have 5 of the cutest neices in the whole world! The sisters minus 2...Beth and Alisha couldn't be there.Mom, Kiara, Avery, Carly, Lacey, and Lexi. The little graduate!Avery and me!We introduced a game called Oshka that Sam introduced us to one night for family night...we had lots of fun playing this after Carly's graduation and a yummy meal at J-Dawgs!Michael trying to get Chia out!

Sweet and chubby little Avery.

Chase LOVED Avery. He kept calling her his "little sister" and is still talking about her!

Can't you tell he loves her?

All chubs!

Chase and Avery had tons of fun together and they kept eachother entertained! It was a lot of fun to see how Chase handled her and she reacted to him. A lot of times Chase would start giggling and Avery would just giggle back. It was cute. I love this picture becuase Avery is copying what Chase is doing.

Chase's 3rd Birthday Party

For Chase's 3rd birthday we had a party at a park close by to us. The theme was a buggie party! We had right around 50 people there (his friends and their families) and it ended up turning out pretty good...I think! We grilled hot dogs for lunch and had a fruit salad, chips, and ants on a log. Mom and I made 48 buggie cupcakes the night before that were also gobbled up! After everyone arrived, we had lunch, then we had a bug hunt for all the kids. (We hid a bunch of bugs around the pavilion and turned the kids looses to "hunt for bugs") After that I had a little buggie craft for them to make from the foam stuff, next came presents and cake, and then the kids were let loose to play at the park! The weather ended up being pretty nice...a little windy, but what can you expect in Oklahoma? All in all, I think it turned out great and Chase got lots of fun stuff! Thanks to everyone!

Saturday morning, I went to wake Chase up for his birthday and I said to him, "Chase it's your birthday! He stirred a little and yelled "NOOTT!!!" at me. I just giggled and told him "Chase, you gotta wake up so we can have your birthday!" and he then said, "I not like birthdays!" I eventually got him out of bed by telling him that he got to blow out candles and open presents on his birthday!
We started the day off with a tradition stolen from Alisha...birthday waffles! These are waffles made out of cake mix and you get to eat chocolate syrup, ice cream, and sprinkles with your cake waffle! Chase was a fan of the ice cream and sprinkles and I put peanut butter and the Reese's sprinkle mix on my waffle. It was yummy! =)

Chase got to blow out his candles that morning and luckily he did because it was too windy at the park to even begin to light the candles.

My yummy waffle!

Manning the grill.

Chase's cupcakes!

Lacey, Nolan, and Kristin!

The kids on the bug hunt!

Opening presents! Chase got a lot of fun things! X and I got him the Fisher Price digital camera so hopefully he will leave mine and mom's alone!

The birthday boy! I can't believe he is already 3 years old! Can you tell how much his hair has grown? It has gotten really thick and you can tell the curls are starting to come! =)

Cool Chase in his new birthday shirt and sunglasses!

My oh my how time flies!

I can't believe that three years ago I had a new little baby to love...these past three years have brought so much happiness and joy to my life and I wouldn't trade a minute of it for the world. Chase is so much fun, but at the same time is very hard headed and persistant and has given me a run for my money quite a few times, but deep down he is a really sweet sensitive little guy! I can't believe how fast time flies! Here are some fun pictures from the past three years...enjoy!Chase was born on May 3, 2005 at 12:39 PM. He was 9 lbs 1 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. I was induced and labor wasn't too horrible compared to some of the stories I've heard, but I was also freaked and didn't know what to expect. I remember going to the doctor Monday for a routine check up and having him tell me that he was going to go ahead and send me over to deliever the baby. I went WHITE! (So did mom!) I wasn't expecting it to be so soon and I remember telling Carly that I wasn't expecting to have a baby and that I just thought that I would be pregnant forever...and that that would be fine with me...I was NOT ready! But, thank goodness he came...I wouldn't want to carry around a 40 pound 3 year old right now! Mom and Alisha both told me it only took them a few pushes to deliver, so in the middle of mine after what seemed like 20 pushes, I told mom, "What happened to 3 pushes?!" Then proceeded to say, "I am done...I don't want to push anymore!" I was told that there was no stopping now...luckily shortly after that Chase came. Dr. Nix had to use a plunger to try and get his big old head out and failed a few times...but finally Chase decided to come! It was such an amazing and overwhelming feeling! I am glad it is three years later! =)Me and Chase after a long day! This is of him while we were still in the hospital...it's one of my most FAVORITE pictures of him.Sam was SO excited to have a little boy in the house and to this day is a great uncle to him and Chase LOVES to play and jump with Sammie. This is Chase on his blessing day...he was SO cute huh?One of Chase's first visits to the pool!Me and Chase being sleepy heads at a swim meet. His first pair of shoes. =)From day one all of Chase's cousins and aunts and uncles have loved him so much, and he has loved them all too. If it wasn't for Mom, Lish, and Kiara's help while I had to go to school and work I wouldn't have gotten very far! What a cutie.Playing with Aunt Lexi. From the start, Chase has had asthma and we have ended up in the hospital a few times, here he is about 6 months old and we were in the hospital once again for asthma. My little gansta'.When Chase was just barely one we were at the house and he was running around downstairs with his cousins and another little friend and hewasn't paying attention to where he was going and was a little bit wobbly. He ran into the benches that we had at the dinner table and got a horrible black eye! It was so sad and took almost all summer to heal!Ever since little Nate dog was born Chase has been hooked on paci's and still is...what to do? I don't have the heart to take it from him because it is the only way to get him to go to bed at night...(that is the only time he gets it...) We'll just hope (for now) that he won't go to college with a paci in his mouth! One of my favorite pictures of the little booger! He is about 18 months here.Gotta LOVE that hair!Another favorite. You can still kind of see the black eye. Chase LOVES his kinky's (blankies) we have 3 of them that we have to have all the time!

And lastly, my little booger at 2 years with his Diego doll that Nuna had to do some surgery on.
