Here are just some of our decorations. We had fun decorating our house this year. Mom and I both made the boo mats and spider eggs and then for a family night the whole family made the milk carton ghosts. I must say our house looked rather good!

Carving pumpkins

Of course, we are the Haynie's and we have to follow in Haynie footsteps and do things as late as possible. So, we carved our pumpkins on Halloween afternoon. Chase was totally disgusted by the inside of the pumpkins, but he really enjoyed coloring his own pumpkin. I carved the bat, Mom did the face, and X's well...let's just say he had some trouble...

No tricks, just treats!

This year, I decided to really REALLY get into the spirit of Halloween, and base a few dinners on the holiday. We, of course, also made our traditional sugar cookies, and I added a few new cookies to the collection. The first night, we had spooky eyeball tacos (i didn't get a picture...), monday night we had witch had calazones and moldy bone breadsticks with ghoulish citrus punch, on tuesday night we had mummy dogs (2nd picture on top), and wednesday we had our chili as always and i made spider breadsticks and putrid punch. =) The first picture in the collage is one of sam's many "tasty" (disgusting) cookies...the cookie with the candy corn and green icing is chase's. And i must claim the scardey cat, frankenstein, witch, mummy, ghost, and vampire cookies. I also made nutter butter ghost cookies, eyeballs, and pumpkin rice krispie treats. We had lots of fun treats for Halloween...thanks to me! ;) X has been calling me Martha Stewart.

HallowZOOeen

On Saturday we got to go to HallowZOOeen where we met up with Sam, Lacey, and Riley. Riley was a biker and Chase was Diego. They had most of the animals put away, but you got to walk the paths of the zoo and stop at different booths to get candy and coupons. They had different areas set up where the kids could decorate little mini pumpkins, make ghost suckers, walk through a mini hay maze, and get tattoos. All along the paths they had different things set up to decorate the place and it was so fun to see all the different decorations. One kid I saw there was dressed as a rubix cube...pretty clever. All in all, it was a fun evening at the Zoo!

This is a song that just came out and I have listened to the words closely and it just makes me think so much of me and x. it has a little rap in it and i know not all of you are fans but search it on youtube or something and listen to it...it's a wonderful song. =)

My two boys

These two boys mean the world to me! Here are just a few pictures i took of the boys at Monte Sano in Alabama. Chase had so much fun climbing and exploring with his daddy!

Of course, seeing family was the best part of going back to Aabama. Chase was so ecstatic to see his cousins and they had fun playing together. We didn't get to spend as much time with the family as i would have liked, but since our house "showed rough" we had to spend a lot of our time cleaning and painting the house...no fun. Anyway, we were able to eat dinner at Jarom and Beths and Nate and Alishas...yummy yummy!
