...and sometimes I have to remind myself of that. =) A few weeks ago Chase walked around Wal-Mart for a good 15 minutes with this Batman mask on...getting the pictures was a task because he CANNOT be still, but you get the idea...what a monster!

My Sweet Little Innocent Boy...
I just had to post this before I forgot...
About two minutes ago Chase said to Nuna...
"I gonna fawt (fart) on you!"
Nuna said "Do you need to go poo poo?"
Chase then said, "No, pick me up so I can fawt on you!"
Where did he learn that?!?! Not me! Probably from his "best fwiend" Uncle Sammy!

Rainy Summer Day
I have been teaching private swim lessons this week at our apartment pool and Chase has been quite distraught that I get to go swimming and he doesn't. About a year and a half ago while I was lifeguarding and watching the pool Chase fell into the water and almost drowned! He was sitting on the edge without a life jacket on and Sam and Abby were in the water talking and playing with him, but then they decided to swim away. Mom was swimming laps when all of this happened. I was busy watching another family thinking Sam and Abby were still over by Chase. A few seconds later I looked back to see Chase's little fingertips barely sticking out of the water. I FREAKED! I ran over and pulled him out and he was choked on water and gasping for air. He eventually threw up and was okay. After that he was terrified of the water big time and it hasn't been until this summer that he has been comfortable to kick and swim by himself with a floatie on! YAY! He has loved every minute of swimming so far this summer.
Last night we had a tornado come through here and so it made for a cloudy day today. Today after I got done swim lessons Chase was supposed to come and swim with me. But about the time that it came for him to swim, the rain had started and he was quite disappointed, so I improvised...

WIPE OUT!
We ended up putting Chase's little play pool on the trampoline so he could jump around and splash.
I love all of his expressions.

This is Chase making Iron Man do a "water-loupe" not sure what that is...
In this picture Chase is showing me that his "tubby" is "too ittle to put his face in the water and to lay on his back and kick." What a booger!
Here are a few fun videos of Chase today.
*Make sure you check my post below! I posted 2 today!*
He CAN be sweet...
After Chase came home from the hospital, Sam would ask me almost every night if Chase could sleep with him through the night. Unfortunately, Sam doesn't quite have the tools needed if ya know what I mean. I love all three of these pictures because you can really just see the love that Sam had for this little boy and you can definately tell that it is reciprocated now. One of Chase's first times to swim was with Chase. We were at Spring Valley Beach in this picture and Sam was SO eager to be able to take Chase into the pool and hold him. It was a sweet moment.
This was yesterday when we were riding in the car after Chase had announced that Sammy was indeed his "best fwiend." =)A quick funny story....
Just now as I am sitting here on the couch and blogging I saw that Chase had a cushion pulled down and that his wrapper to his fruit snacks was laying on the floor. I called him into the room to come and pick it up (trying to get him to catch onto the idea of cleaning up after ourselves...read on to see how well it goes...) He came into the room and before I could say anything he had a small wooden plank in his hand...not big at all and he asked me to help him build a bridge with it. I laughed and I said...
"Chase, pick up your wrapper and throw it in the trash can and then we can build a bridge." (Thinking that I am not quite sure how to build a bridge with a little wooden plank that is about 2 feet long...) I then turn back to the computer to continue my blogging. A few seconds later I look over and Chase is still in the room...but I notice that the cushion has moved.
I said, "Chase did you pick your wrapper up?"
He said, "It's gone now mommy, you can't see it anymore."
I then said to him, "No Chase, we don't just cover up our messes we need to clean them up." I then went to reach for the cushion and as I did so he did a huge belly flop onto the cushion and told me that I could not pick it up because it was all gone. I just had to laugh. He obviously has an idea that if your mess isn't visible then it's all clean! I got him to pick it up and he hasn't asked me to build a bridge yet....we will see!

Sad sad day....
So a few months ago Chase's pediatrician recomended we go see an allergist. Chase has had horrible allergies and asthma from the day he was born and it has been no fun. We FINALLY got an appointment with the allergist, but it was during my work day and I was out of leave, so mom took him. She said it was a horrible appointment. They had to draw so much blood and before that they couldn't even get a vein. So after trying to get blood from both arms and a few pricks, Chase had had it. He was very sensitive the rest of the day. He made it very clear to me after I got home from work to keep his bandages on and that he has "blood in my arm". He was so funny about it. Well today, Mom recives a phone call from his allergist informing us that Chase is allergic to MILK, EGGS, and BANANAS! A very common breakfast for him that he loves! We haven't ever noticed any rashes or any problems when he eats these things...in fact this is exactly what he had for breakfast today! I take him in on Tuesday to figure this all out, but how can you live without milk and eggs? EVERYTHING has milk and eggs in it! Bananas would be doable, but Chase loves them!

The results are in...
Last Tuesday I FINALLY got to go to the doctor. We did all the usual things and the doctor felt/"measured" my uterus and said that I was either pregnant with twins and right on schedule with my due date OR that I was farther along than we had thought, but that the ultrasound would confirm which of the two it would be. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a machine for ultrasounds in his office so I had to schedule my ultrasound for a different day...I was lucky and got in the very next day! The nurse couldn't actually say whether the baby was healthy and all that good news, but from what I saw on the ultrasound the spine looked good and strong, I saw both hands and feet and a sweet little face. It all looked good to me! The nurse didn't seem to act like there was anything wrong, but I will find out for sure when I go back on June 16! Of course, there were no twins! (THANK GOODNESS!) and the baby's measurments were on schedule with my due date being October 17....I guess I just have a big uterus...We also found out that baby BOY #2 is on his way! I was bound and determined that we were having a girl, I just KNEW it! But the ultrasound proved me wrong plain and clear! This little one, like Chase, had no shame and made it no problem to see what we were having! The nurse did confirm that we are for sure having a little boy! We are really excited and now we are just trying to decide on names...I asked Chase what he wantes to name his baby brother and he insists that we name him "Iron Man" =) How do you like that for a name? X and I did have Davis Scott picked out, but he has changed his mind about it. He is absolutely hooked on the name Cruize (not sure how I feel about it...what do you guys think?) We also like Roman...but it has been claimed, Jaxon is another that we like, so we aren't 100% sure of a name yet.
Chase was in the room with us during the ultrasound and was pretty good, all though he got a little bored because the pictures weren't obvious to him...but I think it helped make it a little more real and he will talk about the baby more! I will try and get my ultrasound pictures on here.
I have this HUGE fear of being cursed with all boys just like Chase...I honestly think I would go loco...one Chase is great but 4 or 5...I don't think I could handle it! =)
Anyway, we are excited to have baby boy number two on the way! I am disappointed in all the votes I got...5 for boy and 14 for girl, you guys REALLY got my hopes up! =) We are blessed either way, though!
