This past Friday we had one of the biggest football games of the season for our high school. They call it the Backyard Bowl and the two bigger high schools here in Tulsa play against eachother...Jenks vs. Union. We are Jenks fans!! Anyway, this game is so huge that you have to buy your tickets in advance and they are double the price of a regular football game on a Friday night! Last year they played at the TU stadium, but this year it was under construction at the time of the game so they played at Union's stadium. There was 12, 222 people there!!! Can you imagine that for a HIGH SCHOOL football game? There seriously was not an empy seat there and by the time the game was done my feet were quite swollen. =( This game is so huge that they even aire it on TV. Last year we lost...barely, but then both Union and Jenks made it to the state championship game and we won that! This year we lost--again! BOO! We didn't play so hot until the last quarter, then we caught up and tied the game and ended up having to go into overtime, then we got beat by one touchdown! (We got beat in overtime last year too...)Hopefully we will win the state championships this year too! The game started at 7:30 and wasn't done until 11:30! Needless to say, I was glad the game was over. Being 8 1/2 months pregnant and sitting in bleachers for 4 hours (packed bleachers that is) gets quite uncomfortable! It was a fun night though and I am looking forward to the championships!
Gotta love that popcorn!! We didn't eat dinner before because we all had a late lunch so we went out to eat afterwards (yes, at 11:30) and didn't get home close to 1...Chase got into bed at 1:30 that night, poor guy! I expected him to fall asleep somewhere along the line, but NOPE! He was wide awake at 1:3o and probably would have kept going had I let him! (Stinking steroids!)
Chase loves to run out onto the fields after the game. X took him out after the game and I snagged this picture which I think is way cool...future football player right?

I wish BYU played in Tulsa this year, that was so much fun last year!
Chase looks so little down there on the field. It was a fun night and I am kinda glad that Union won because Jenks didn't play well at all until the last 5 minutes! I think it does them good to lose...makes them work a little harder!
When he was a little baby, I imagined him being a star football player...
