a song to my hubby!

Love Like This

Natasha Bedingfield ft. Sean Kingston

Oh…Never find a love like this

Oh…Never find a love like this

We were cool back in high school

ooh I really liked you,

must have been your attitude.

That’s why you keep on runnin

in and out of my mind.

As the years they’ll roll by,

Baby, now I know why

I keep comin back to you.

You’re the only one that knows me,

love it when you hold me,

never find a love like this.

Let me hear you say,

now I’ll never be lonely,

look at what you’ve shown me,

never find a love like this

Well this life tried to keep us apart

you keep callin me back to your heart.

Let me hear you say,

aren’t you glad you found me,

wrap you all around me,

never find a love like this.

All the guys tried to take me,

you’re the one who saved me,

I feel like I owe you my life.

And as strange as it may seem,

I’ll go if you take me home and lent to sacrifice.

That’s why you keep on runnini

n and out of my mind.

As the years, they’ll roll by,

it’s not hard to know why

I keep comin back to you.

You’re the only one that knows me,

love it when you hold me,

never find a love like this.

Let me hear you say,

now I’ll never be lonely,

look at what you’ve shown me,

never find a love like this.

Cause this life tried to keep us apart,

you keep calling me back to your heart.

Let me hear you say,

aren’t you glad you found me,

wrap you all around me,

never find a love like this.

May never find a love, love, love a love like this,

that still make me think about my middle school kiss.

I sit here in this chair and

I wish for you not to leave me now.

My friends they always told me

not to make you my wifey

,man they was putting you down.

And now they see we rollin,

me and you, we strollin,

they don’t wanna come around.

Let me hear you say,

you’re the only one that knows me,

love it when you hold me,

never find a love like this.

Let me hear you say,

now I’ll never be lonely,

look at what you’ve shown me,

never find a love like this.

When this life tries to keep us apart,

you keep callin me back to your heart.

Let me hear you say,

I’m so glad you found me,

wrap you all around me,

never find a love like this,

Oh… Never find a love like this…

When this life tried to keep us apart,

you keep callin me back to your heart,

Let me hear you say,

Oh… Never find a love like this.

Oh… Never find a love like this.

This is a song that just came out and I have listened to the words closely and it just makes me think so much of me and x. it has a little rap in it and i know not all of you are fans but search it on youtube or something and listen to it...it's a wonderful song. =)

My two boys

These two boys mean the world to me! Here are just a few pictures i took of the boys at Monte Sano in Alabama. Chase had so much fun climbing and exploring with his daddy!

Alabama

Of course, seeing family was the best part of going back to Aabama. Chase was so ecstatic to see his cousins and they had fun playing together. We didn't get to spend as much time with the family as i would have liked, but since our house "showed rough" we had to spend a lot of our time cleaning and painting the house...no fun. Anyway, we were able to eat dinner at Jarom and Beths and Nate and Alishas...yummy yummy!

Puppy Love

well, i guess they aren't really puppies, they are pretty big dogs. while we were in alabama visiting we were able to go to jarom and beth's house for a yummy dinner. chase and emma found the dogs outside and were out there almost the whole time playing with them. even after they both got attacked and knocked over a few times they still stayed outside to play and love on miesho and ana. chase definately needs a dog, and as soon as we get our own place we plan to get him one!

okay, now let me tell you a pretty funny story...x thought it would be fun to play with the dogs with chase. he started running with chase in his arms and the dogs decided to chase him...well look at the pictures and see what happened...

running...

WIPE OUT!
Super nuna to the rescue!
X said it really hurt his butt! hahahaha...we laughed for forever!

Just a few cute things...

I don't have time to do a huge post, it's been busy, but no worries...i will be back in full force soon!

I just wanted to post a few cute things Chase has said over the past few weeks..

One day when Lacey dropped Chase and I off at our house after our Day Out With Thomas, Chase turned to Riley and asked in such a matter-of-fact way: "Wiley, wanna come in my house and watch tb?"....my little couch potatoe!

We were at the library the other day and Chase found a book with fishes on it, and he goes, "Mommy, dis is my pabwet (favorite)." How in the world does a 2 year old know how to use favorite!?

This evening at dinner, Chase let out a big burp and Papa told Chase not to burp, and Chase replied, "Daddy does it." We just laughed.

When X came in from class today, Chase ran into his arms and goes, "Daddy, what did you do today?" =)

Of all things...

Today we went to an awesome park with Lacey and Riley. Lacey brought hamburgers and we brought chips and grapes to have a fun little picnic. X grilled the hamburgers and they were yummy! This park that we went to, LaFortune Park, is probably one of the best parks here in Tulsa. There is a 3 mile walking path, a little stream, grills, cabanas, a bunch of swing sets, a sand pit, and 3 different play things with slides, etc. This park is probably just about every kids dream park. There is so much to do here, and of all things our two little boys, Riley and Chase, decided that it would be more fun to play in the ash from a grill and in the nasty, sludgey, mossy water. I guess boys will be boys right? I think the boys had more fun playing in the ash and nasty water than they would have had playing on the slides. By the time we were ready to go the boys were soaking wet and dirty. As you can see Riley has two different outfits on in some of the pictures. That would be because he got so incredibly wet in his first outfit so I loaned Lacey an extra pair of shorts I had. In the first picture in the top left corner is a picture of Riley's jeans after playing in the ash. They were having too much fun in the ashes. Chase would get handfuls and dump it on Riley's head and Riley would just smile and act like nothing was going on...as Lacey and I stood on the side and laughed. Then, they decided it would be fun to run through the water, mind you this is like nasty run off water from the stream. They had so much fun jumping in the water, throwing the leaves, and riding their vehicles through the water. These two little boys are definately two peas in a pod!

Where would we be without cousins?

Just a little tribute to Carden, Emma, and Nate-dogg. Chase loves his cousins so much. I am so happy to have all of the kids so close together, because that is what I had when I grew up. Leaving the cousins behind has probably been the hardest thing about moving, and it will only get harder as everyone's family continues to grow. But, I guess that is what family reunions are for right? I hope that as all of our families continue to grow our children will all grow close together. I remember as I grew up always being so excited to go and visit my cousins. It was like no time had passed when we would see eachother again, and we would pick up where we left off from the previous year. I hope that this is what will happen with all of our kids. I pray and hope that all of the cousins will be close. Chase loves his cousins so much and not too many days go by where Chase doesn't mention his cousins. Not only do I hope that all of the cousins are close, but I hope to have close relationships with all of my nieces and nephews. Family is such a great thing and I am so lucky to have such a big, strong, and wonderful one.

Conversation with a Two Year Old

Today my mom and Chase had a conversation as I layed on the couch and listened. It was too cute and so I just had to write it down...

Mom: What is your favorite food, Chase?
Chase: Ummm...cantaoope (cantaloupe, which is odd, because I use to never be able to get him to eat cantaloupe.)

We just giggled at his response.

Mom: What color is cantaloupe?
Chase: With A LOT of thought he said, "bl....ge...ORANGE!"

Which was quite impressive because usually we ask him what color something is he replies either pink or poop, but this time he really thought about it and got it right!

Mom: What is your favorite thing to do?
Chase: I not know. Then, he preceeded to put his hands over his head then duck forward and then bend backwards. Not sure what that is...but it was cute.

Mom then reminded him that he loves to go to the park and she asked him what his favorite thing to do at the park was.
Chase: I not know...wun, wun, wun! (as he said this he did his arms like he was running)

Mom: Chase, what is your favorite color?
Chase: percy
Mom: No, Chase, Percy is a train...not a color. What is your favorite color?
Chase: Thomas.
Mom: Thomas isn't a color Chase, he's a train. What is your favorite color?
Chase: I not know...pink and puhple.

Oh the things that run through little kids minds! =)

"Gog"

Last night the family went on a bike ride. It had cooled off and as we were on the path back to the car we stopped and saw a few frogs hop across the path. Chase just thought this was the coolest thing ever and he excitedly hopped right behind the "gog" trying to catch it. (He actually accidentaly hopped on one of the frogs...oops. I know he didn't kill it, but it jumped funny after that, I felt bad, but i didn't know what to do for it...) I was so upset that I didn't have my camera to capture Chase's new discovery in nature. Of course he has seen frogs in cartoons and books, but he has never actually seen one and he was so excited that he could hardly stand himself. He truely is a boy. There was a smaller one we were able to catch and Chase got to hold it. He was so ecstatic. You could tell that he was a little scared though, because as he held the frog in his hand, he was shaking. He has never held anything like that before. It was so much fun to see the wonder and amazement in his little face. He held this frog like he was never going to let it go, and he even named it Boo. (all by himself!) When the frog did jump out of his hands, he freaked and immediatly chased after it to catch it again. When it was time to go and let Boo go back to his mom, he was quite upset. He cried and cried. He did not want to let that little "gog" go. As I said before, I was kicking myself the whole time for not having my camera! His excitement was just too much that I had to tell this little story, even though I don't have any pictures to go along with it!

Yummy to my Tummy!

Sorry, but i just LOVE LOVE LOVE these collages I can make from Picasa...they are great and you can get nine pictures in without taking up the whole screen. Anyways...

Since we've moved here to Oklahoma we have found a favorite treat...concretes! These pictures are from our most recent outing. The picture in the top left corner is the aftermath of Chase and a concrete. He loves his ice ceem! (and so do I! ;)) Let me tell you, this is the best ice cream I have ever had. It is so smooth...probably 100 times more fattening than regular ice cream, but it's worth it because it doesn't get much better than a concrete. At this particular place I got a concrete called Jack be Twixed...it was vanilla custard with caramel swirls and twix chunks...can we say YUMMY TO MY TUMMY!!??

Two Peas in a Pod

Chase and I have been fortunate enough to be able to go to Playgroup and meet some new friends. Among the kids there Chase has really come to love one little boy named Riley..and guess what? His mom's name is Lacey too. Chase and Riley are two months apart and they have so much in common. We have been doing a lot with Lacey and Riley because she is a stay at home mom too. We go to story time, to the park, playgroup, and we even went to A Day Out With Thomas in Oklahoma City, since both of the boys are huge Thomas the Train fans. In this picture of Chase and Riley looking at Thomas they are holding hands, you can't see it, but it was just the cutest thing. They just reached for eachothers hands and were just in awe of Thomas. We got to go and play with all different train tracks, play putt putt, get balloons, meet Sir Tophamm Hatt, get tattoos, color, play with stamps, and, get this, we got to go for a 20 minute train ride on Thomas. The boys were just FULL of excitement. When it was time to go, Chase did NOT want to leave Thomas. He threw the BIGGEST fit I have EVER seen. He refused to walk, he refused to let me hold him, and he refused to get in his car seat. The whole time, Riley was looking at him like he was crazy. After we got Chase in his seat and calmed down we stopped at McDonald's to get "kakup" and french fries (Chase's favorite). It was a very very fun time, and the boys REALLY enjoyed themselves. Not a day goes by that Chase doesn't ask to see "Wiley". They are so much fun to watch together becuase they are so much alike. They get along fairly well, every so often they have their spats over different toys but they can usually work it out. Yesterday we went to a park for the boys and Riley's mom brought his dump truck, and loser mom me didn't even think to bring some toys for the sand pit, i just figured that the park part was fun enough! But, Chase loved that dump truck and was quite determined to keep it from Riley. He set the truck down for a little bit and Riley got a hold of it...and he was even MORE determined to keep the truck from Chase. After Chase chased him around for a few minutes trying to get it back, he gave up and Riley ran down a hill and "hid" the truck from Chase under a picnic table. It was so funny. It is great to see these two interact and come up with the things that they do. 99% of the time they get along great and have so much fun chasing eachother around and playing. Chase loves his Riley. We have talked about getting the boys into sports together and I am so excited to see these two grow up with eachother. They are just too cute and too much fun! Not only is it fun for Chase and Riley, but I have gotten to know a new friend here in Oklahoma. =) Lacey is a great person and I really look up to her and enjoy our chats and going to all the fun little activities with her and the boys.
