He CAN be sweet...

...most of the time! (Chase that is...) Yesterday we were riding in the car with the family and out of the blue Chase said "Sammy, you my best fwiend." =) I know that made Sam feel pretty good. Sam was SO excited that Chase was coming into the family since he would be another boy to add to the chaos. Sam cried when Chase was born because he was so happy. Sam has held true to being a wonderful uncle to Chase. They have fun playing together on the trampoline, wrestling, and more. Chase really looks up to his Uncle Sammy and Sam is a good sport a lot of times and lets Chase tag along with him and his friends out to the back to jump or to the park. We love our Uncle Sammy! After Chase came home from the hospital, Sam would ask me almost every night if Chase could sleep with him through the night. Unfortunately, Sam doesn't quite have the tools needed if ya know what I mean. I love all three of these pictures because you can really just see the love that Sam had for this little boy and you can definately tell that it is reciprocated now.

One of Chase's first times to swim was with Chase. We were at Spring Valley Beach in this picture and Sam was SO eager to be able to take Chase into the pool and hold him. It was a sweet moment.

This was yesterday when we were riding in the car after Chase had announced that Sammy was indeed his "best fwiend." =)
A quick funny story....
Just now as I am sitting here on the couch and blogging I saw that Chase had a cushion pulled down and that his wrapper to his fruit snacks was laying on the floor. I called him into the room to come and pick it up (trying to get him to catch onto the idea of cleaning up after ourselves...read on to see how well it goes...) He came into the room and before I could say anything he had a small wooden plank in his hand...not big at all and he asked me to help him build a bridge with it. I laughed and I said...
"Chase, pick up your wrapper and throw it in the trash can and then we can build a bridge." (Thinking that I am not quite sure how to build a bridge with a little wooden plank that is about 2 feet long...) I then turn back to the computer to continue my blogging. A few seconds later I look over and Chase is still in the room...but I notice that the cushion has moved.
I said, "Chase did you pick your wrapper up?"
He said, "It's gone now mommy, you can't see it anymore."
I then said to him, "No Chase, we don't just cover up our messes we need to clean them up." I then went to reach for the cushion and as I did so he did a huge belly flop onto the cushion and told me that I could not pick it up because it was all gone. I just had to laugh. He obviously has an idea that if your mess isn't visible then it's all clean! I got him to pick it up and he hasn't asked me to build a bridge yet....we will see!

OH Chase is usually sweet with a little bit of a spicy in there. I am so glad he has a best fweind in Sam. How fun for the both of them. I love family and I love the bonds we make with one another. I think we have the best family EVER!

Sam is so cute with Chase. Chase is such a little stinker, hiding his mess...how funny! I can't believe how fast kids catch on.

So cute! I especially like the picture of Sam holding Chase in the pool. As far as the trash goes... "Out of sight, out of mind," right?
