More Spring Break!

First of all just a few fun things about Chase. As we were driving home a few days ago, Chase saw his arm hairs on his arms from the sunlight and excitiedly announced, "I HAVE FEATHERS!!" A few days after that, Chase was getting a hair cut from my mom and as his hair fell to the floor he said, "my feathers are falling!" Too silly. Right now he is at the stage that when he is alone he really gets his imagination going and just talks and plays all in his own world. It is so fun to listen and watch him. Right now he is carrying around a belt and he has a "goggie" (doggy) attached to the "leash" having a good ol time. Ha. His favorite song to sing and act out right now is "5 little monkeys jumping on the bed..." And last, he LOVES LOVES LOVES to play hide and go seek. He is so silly. He will have you count while he hides and all the while you're counting Chase is either giggling and wiggling in his hiding spot or counting with you...needless to say it's not hard to find him. =) Then you hide, right in front of his face, and he counts to 3 then will walk around saying "hmm..where is she?" Then, will get so excited to "find" you. He is too much fun!

Okay on to Spring Break...we had a WONDERFUL time seeing family and friends. Beth and Jarom had us over to dinner one night and it was the first time I got to see Addison...how precious! And after traveling and eating out for a few meals, it was good to have a yummy home cooked meal and some YUMMMMY cookies!! Thanks guys!
Thursday night Chase and I got to go to dinner and the park with one of the greatest girls in the world, Courtney. Chase LOVED Courtney and we had a fun time! After that, we ran over to another great girls house, Jessica's, to visit. Two of my best girlfriends from Bama! It was fun to see them and catch up on everything!Next, I must document Beautiful. Beautiful is a bird that Carden (the little animal lover) found injured in her backyard on Thursday afternoon. Well, come Friday Beautiful passed on to a better place, and luckily I was there to document the funeral of Beautiful the Bird. Carden was quite heartbroken, but her and I sat down on the couch and had a little talk about how Beautiful was now in a better place and she isn't suffering anymore. Carden is so sweet and just loves animals to death...(literally most of the time).

I believe Beautiful has already passed on in the picture...

Beautiful's ceremony.

I just love Chase's hand around Nathan's neck! =)

One of the best parts about going home was getting to see these two together. They have been best little buds from the start. When I was still living in Alabama, Chase and I spent most of our days with Alisha, Emma, and Nathan whether it was to just hang out, scrapbook, go to the gym or preschool, or even the fun days where we went to EarlyWorks or to the park. I must say that has probably been one of the hardest parts about moving, but now it really makes for a fun vacation back to see all the family there in Alabama.

The two boys actually sat in the cart for most of our shopping trip to Target. They were so cute together and had fun just giggling at eachother's faces.

Friday evening, we had a girls night at Alisha's with all the sisters, aunts, neices, cousins, and nuna's. It was fun to be together as just girls (minus Chase and Nathan). We enjoyed some pizza and again, yummy cookies from Beth. We watched the movie The Game Plan and did pedicures (much needed for me!) and Carden, Abby, and Savannah (above) each did a facial! We had a fun time, even with two little boys there trying to get pedicures!

Chase and Nuna getting pedicures!

Another highlight, was getting to see sweet little Kenadie! She is so teeny! She loves her daddy!Emma diligently pushed Chase on the swing. She even went underneath the swing to give Chase a "super push"!

We got to decorate eggs at Alisha and Nate's. Although Chase was sick, he still really got into the egg decorating and has made it a point to tell everyone that he got to "color eggs!"

Look at those sick little eyes! Poor baby! Friday he came down with a runny nose and slowly got worse. He had a fever and just a nasty cough. I think he got a sinus infection and ANYTIME any type of congestion occurs, his asthma acts up and it's just a mess. He will get to coughing and then eventually will throw up...as he did in the middle of the easter egg hunt. Nathan had a fun time decorating eggs! (and tasting the die too! Love the blue mustache!)

Egg drop soup ala Nathan.

Abby helping Addie decorate her first easter egg.Carden and Abby decorating eggs.

Nuna and Chase decorating eggs with Bee Movie stickers.

Emma enjoying our yummy dinner provided by Alisha and Beth. Alisha made DELICIOUS grilled chicken caesar sandwiches and other sides and beth brought an amazing fruit salad! We were getting together to let the kids celebrate Easter together and for my momma's 49th birthday. It was that day (the 22nd) and we had a fun time. I took video and the only picture I took of mom and her delicious angel food cake (with strawberries) wasn't the best. It is a classic picture of mom...but I will spare her this time! ;)Afterwards, we did our Easter egg hunt, and like I said before, Chase lost his dinner in the middle of it all, but had a fun time finding the eggs. He understood a little bit more what was going on this year and had a fun time while he was feeling okay. Addie also got to go Easter egg hunting for her first time!

Thanks everyone for a fun week! We love you guys!

So glad you were there to document Beautiful's funeral.

I don't think either of our boys stay in carts like they did on that trip to Target... another reason to count down the days to Oklahoma!

This post is so big it is hard to remember all the comments I wanted to make. First off I am sad that we weren't there. Avery was very heartbroken, but she did get to spend it with her other cousins so that made her happy.

Second. I love the sullen face Carden is making holding Beautiful. I am sure she is the one that named that bird. It is so totally Carden. I love that little girl.

Third. Poor Chase and the sickness. One reason I am glad that I was not there because I don;t want a sick Avery.

Fourth. I just can't believe that Nathan is big enough to have real interactions with Chase and they are both old enough to be entertained by each other. So cute. I am glad that the two boys were born close enough together to enjoy one another. That just doesn't happen in our family. Maybe the grandkids go 2 girls, 2 boys. 4 girls, 4 boys. If that is the case you will get your little Merrick. Do you still LOVE that name?

What a fun trip! I'm glad you got to see your AL friends and family, moving is hard, but I'm really glad your fam came to Tulsa! The pictures are too cute as always- I can't get over the one when Chase has his arm around his buddy!

I've forgotten everything I want to comment on, too! I love all of the stories that you told about Chase in the beginning. That is a beautiful picture of Carden holding Beautiful. I think Natedog really misses Chase because every time he sees Taylor he tries to "love" her which ends up with him tackling her.. haha Those grilled chicken caesar sandwiches Alisha makes ARE awesome! We've tried making them before, and it just wasn't the same. So glad you finally got to meet Addi and Kenadie-- beautiful girls!!
